Smallmouth now. I used to fish semi pro tornaments for largemouths all over Southern Cal and some Aarizona when I lived in San Diego in my younger days. Now the only largemoth I deal with sings, "Dont worry, be happy" and some river song at the push of a button. Show me a smallie that can top that!

the White Bass. When you get into a school busting shad, you cannot cast, strip a Clouser, land a fish, fast enough! They are a GREAT flyrod fish!

notice the title is "What is your favorite bass?", not "What is Mike's favorite bass?" or "Tell us your favorite bass and the fight for your cause against the liberal conspirators"

You can't beat a topwater strike by a Largemouth, but for overall fight, smallies beat a LM hands down, or should I say, fins down. I still want to go fishing for Peacocks, now they make all the other bass look like pansies. My story and I'm sticking to it.
