Re: What is your favorite bass?

That's easy.... Peacock Bass. Those of us luck enough to live in Hawaii or south Florida are spoiled. Nothing like 3 or 4 peacocks fighting over your fly.

Aloha,
Stan

Re: What is your favorite bass?

Most definitely Smallmouth ! ! !

Pound for pound these "bronzebacks" pull harder & fight longer than most.

I've caught five pound largemouth that did not fight as well as a two pound
smallie. I often wonder why that is ?

But my vote is smallies.

Always in the water,

Tie One On

Re: What is your favorite bass?

Since I cant regularly fish for Peacocks I would have to say Stripers! They make Smallies look old and tired..

Re: What is your favorite bass?

I'll have to go with the largemouth since that is all I have hung on my fly rod. I have a pond on my back 40 that I catch bluegill in and occasionally hang a largemouth and sometimes a channel cat.

My personal favorite is the one on my hook pulling against my arm at the time. Take care.

Re: What is your favorite bass?

Smallmouth! I live near the Susquehanna and that used to be the best smallmouth water in the US! Almost a mile wide but only 5' deep. Lots of rocks and clear water with billions of crayfish under every rock.
The last couple years the Susquehanna had it's problems. I even put my flyrods on hold and grabbed the spin tackle. Yamamoto plastic or Rapalas, I was even ready to buy some live minnows and float them in the river! LOL
Like Karma, things come around again. The White Millers are hatching almost every night and that is the fly fishermens Nirvana!
I had such a wonderful time last night with my flyrod and some white drys!
Smallmouths are what a flyrod was made for.
