I noticed in several magazines, articles, and websites about caribean fishing that the anglers in the pictures usually have bandanas covering their mouths and noses. Is there a reason for this?

Re: Caribean Saltwater fishing question
Here's another option Mad River Outfitters - Sun Mask Scott Fly Rods has another version on their site in the accessories section that won't have you looking quite so much like a bank robber- home

it is called a balaclava, it is made from sun protective fabric. you can find them from several suppliers, Orvis, Bass pro shops, cabelas... etc. if you combine this with a fishing hat like Frank referred and combine it with a good sun block, you can fish all day.

Skin Cancer Sucks!!! (moderators- please remove if inappropriate)
when I was a wee-er lad than I am now (turning 30 at the end of the month), I thought nothing of it to go fishing, surfing, swimming all day without protection, now...... you better believe that i am all to serious about covering up and lubing up. I already have had a few "spots" removed. dont want no-mo!
