4 weight rod

i have a number 5 9foot ds2 and a tfo 4pce 3 weight.. i like them both very much... the 5 is a big rod to me, the 3 is a small rod(to me.) id like a rod that is right inbetween these.. the 4 launch 9 foot at the dealers feels very much like the 5 weight or a big rod.. .. to get the feel of a rod inbetween these would an 8 foot rod do the trick?. such as a sage 480 ds/ds2? i believe there is a launch 8foot 4 weight also.. i dont have the oportunity to feel one tho here.. maybe ill look at the tf0 4 weight.. any help apreciated.. dave

I would not get a four weight if you already have the three and five. If you are looking for something a little lighter I would just get a shorter five weight or a faster three weight. That way you use the same reel and line you already have. I don't see as the four would fill any void.
