10 8 wts, 9' vs 9'6"

Anyone have any experience throwing a T&T Horizon II 8 weight in the 9 foot length vs the same rod in 9.5 foot length? Looking at either of these rods or the Sage TCR 8 wt (9 foot). Primary use Alaska Silvers and Steelies. Thanks.
