combo rods

New to fly fishing and was wondering which is better to get a combo such as what bass Pro and Cabellas offers and what weight is good for trout. People say 5 weight is good. Thank you for any help

Re: combo rods

flyfisher45- see the faq on starter outfits and also read through this forum for lots of info. A 9' 5 weight is the most common rod to start with for trout. I started with a 6-7 weight since I was shooting for bass as well, but my next rod was a 5 weight.
