Re: lefty kreh ross reels
EEEENNNNNHHHH!!! stop! The Clearwater reel is/used to be made by Orvis and is no where near the quality of anything ross has ever made. The outside part of the spool is cast aluminum and the backside of it is molded plastic glued onto that aluminum part. The gluing can separate under tension from the line wrapped onto the reel or due to time and heat working on the glued joint.
Did you mean Ross Worldwide's Flywater reels by any chance? And yes the Lefty Kreh signature rods from TFO are fine pieces of equipment. They have a good warranty and will serve you well.

Lefty Kreh rods..
Im a long way from expert but I fish 2 TFO series 1 rods both are 2 piece 1 a 7ft 6in 3wt and an 8ft 6in 5wt I love em both one of my fishing partners has a couple of the more expensive TFO-s and he loves em. Heres one of the big things for me. I live about 15 miles from the TFO distribution center and Ive had one of the line guides on my 5wt break twice.. I drive to their warehouse... the replace it no money no questions... just new parts.... and they both cast beautifully Conehead
