I sell both lines, and both are employee owned (me) companies. I have no reason to push one over the other. The Diamondback Americana is older technology, and while some of them are good values, they aren't as consistent in action from model to model. The Brook series are brand new, we spent a ton of time in the field getting the actions right. It is embarrassing to many of the high end rod companies (including a few I rep) how good these rods are. Now Diamondback has a new series called the Flawless that is exceptional, but they are higher priced (249$).

I decided to take the plunge and go with the TFO 7'9" 5-wt. Can't wait to give it a try on the Ottaquechee in a few weeks :-) :-)
