Yea! baby (you can never have too many 4 weights LOL) I am working on the 5 weight scene. I have ONE 10' 5 weight that is a medium action and I have a 7'9" that is a full flex, so I want something in between. Think I got that covered. A Winston Joan Wulff 8'6" 5 weight hopefully by next week. |

Re: ZXL vs. Z-Axis in 8'6" 4 wt.
I have the BIIx in a 6 wt. and an 8 wt. and love them. I want something a little softer for the 5. My 4's are either Glass or Bamboo so I really like the slow action, but there is times that you need that extra. Nice thing about the BIIx is the TIP. It is soooo perfect.

Re: ZXL vs. Z-Axis in 8'6" 4 wt.
Haven't cast one of the new BIIx's yet, but the LT's are my favorite winston's so far. That 7'9" 3wt is a sweetheart. I know the "true" winston fans like the WT's better, but they're just a bit floppy/mushy to me.
I've been spoiled by my 490 LL forever. Until I have the disposable income for a G2 anyway.
