Antique Large Arbor Reel

For those who thought that Large Arbor reels were a new design here is a pre-World War 1 reel. The back plate is mahogany.

Hi Terry,

I wish it was mine. It set a new record for fly reels. Here is all I know about it. There has been similar reels made as late as 1990. Here is a link to some of the Aerial reels.

Coxon Aerial Reel Fetches £6,600

A pre-World War I reel -- a Roller Back Coxon Aerial made by John Forrest of London --
