Flies for Savage River
I know what is supposed to be working and I know what I've been using that worked but is anyone else out there flyfishing the lower Savage in Western Maryland? What's working for you? I had a real nice 13" brown trout with beautiful color take a beadhead Pheasant Tail in a #14. Also caught another with that about a week ago. Dries haven't been working for me. I usually can get them to rise and take an Adams or a Lt. Cahill but lately they don't want anything? (Or I should say whatever I'm throwing at them!) What's working for you?

ive noticed the trout at savage can be rather picky when it comes to dries.
ive had success with sulphurs, elk hair caddis, and winged ants sizes 16 18 but this is only my second year fishing savage so im up for suggestions.
