One question about flies
I fish Trouts in colorado rocky mountains rivers and lakes.
So I went to the store and the guy told me to put Leader - tippet 6 - Fly - Tippet 5 - ant or other kind of bug that sinks and i dont know about fly fishing really well but i think thats not necessary What should I use to fish trouts guys? 1 or 2 flies? what kind? thanks for the answers |

Starting out, its probably best to stick to one fly. When your casting and line management improves then you can go for two.
I prefer using only one fly. If conditions dictate, I will use another (a dropper). Fishing a dry fly with a nymph dropped off of that can be a deadly combination. However, is does create more chances for tangles until you get the hang of it. Two nymphs can work well also. Go to: Double Nymph Rig Question |
