Try this: Instead of Chennile, buy some pipe cleaners. I like the "metalic" looking ones for alternate tyes. The wire in the pipe cleaner also adds extra weight. You can get anywhere from 4 to 7 flies per pipe cleaner. Depending on hook size and diameter of pipe cleaner. Look in your local Crafts store or walmart.

Brown works in the clearer waters here, and in the darker waters, I use a white or yellow worm. I love to fish them unweighted, and in fact, in winter, I have had crappie, bass and bluegill take them RIGHT when they hit the water. This happened on water that was half frozen, granted, not where I was at though. These were the coldest fish I have ever held.
