Care for Neoprene

I have a set of hip waders from Orvis with the neoprene booties, over which I wear stream boots. Whenever I get home from trout fishing I hang the waders up to dry. Recently however I have noticed a certain funky odor in the neoprene. Does anyone have any idea how best to clean and de-funk the booties before my wife gets wind of it?

Thanks!

MiraZyme, ReviveX, or Wetsuit Shampoo. I use MiraZyme on all of my kayaking gear. Most of these are concentrated. Just add a few drops or small amount to water and let soak. Then, don't rinse, just hang your gear to dry.

Back when I used to SCUBA dive all the time, I used woolite and it worked really well. Wash by hand and hang to dry. If you think booties stink, imagine a full body 6mm wetsuit LOL.

Re: Care for Neoprene

You can wash them in the washing machine & hang them up to dry, Just don't use a lot of or harsh soap. There are a lot of products out there for washing breathables & most of them have neopreme booties.
