How do you treat your vests or packs....

Just wondering out there how many of you guys are brutal on gear? Or, how many of you tend to baby your gear? Are you afraid to get it wet, or do you not shed a tear as you wear it chest deep wading thru the water, over and over?

Bruce

I am pretty tough on my gear. When you spend as much time swimming with you r gear as wading with it, like I do..

My vest is over 15 year old. I replaced the front zippers once and replaced the back net d-ring strap. About once a year, I empty it out and toss it into the washing machine. Hopefully, I can get another 15 years out of it.

If I can get 3 seasons out of a pair of good neoprene waders I'm doing good.I am a loyal Orvis customer just because of the warrenty, wich I have used many times in the past,in fact i have a 3wt silver label getting repaired with them now!

My vest only set me back $12 at bass pro, so i'm not to particular about it. I'm more concerned with what's inside my vest. I empty and wash it on occasion, but usually it's just hanging up in my garage beside the water heater and central vac.
