There are no bonefish in Tampa area, not tropical enough. On west coast must go south of Marco Island. Yesterday I fished with a friend and sight fished for Redfish. It was just like fishing for Bones. Florida can get cold. Water temp in our area is 60 degrees. During heat of summer, it will approach 85.
