Where should I fish in the South east?
Hey folks,
Do to some unexpected down time at work I have a few weeks off during the month of march. I am thinking of a fishing road trip down the eastern seaboard. I live in vt.... Not much fly fishing going on here right now. So I am looking for ideas of places to hit, on my way south. Fresh or salt water, I'll bring a canoe with me so I'll have some mobility on the water. I kind of imagined my self heading down to florida to do some fishing in the keys so anything along the east coast is fair game. Please let me know what spots you wouldn't miss. Thanks Erik |

Re: Where should I fish in the South east?
Hi Erik-
if you look in the current edition of Fly Fisherman there's an article called the 10 Best Places to Redfish. It could be very helpful. Also, if you visit this link johnkumiski.com/index.html you'll find a bunch of articles about fly fishing in Florida. I have other articles about fishing in other states but I haven't been able to get them up on the site yet. I'm green with envy. If you come through central Florida give me a call, maybe I'll have some time to take you out, my treat. JK |

John
Thanks for the info. The fishing articles were great and the Canoe camping in the everglades was also of interst to me. I am thinking of doing a short trip there. I sent you a PM regarding getting together to fish. I'd be psyched, if your up for it! Erik |
