Grand Bahama

I'm planning a trip to Grand Bahama in the near future. I'll most likely be staying in the Lucaya area. Has anyone ever fished the beaches there in the early mornings or late evenings with success? Any other recommendations for fishing areas in the Lucaya area that I can walk to? Species of fish doesn't matter, it's really not a fishing trip, but thought I might get in a little fishing before my wife gets up or something.

Re: Grand Bahama

Cannot say on wading in your staying area...it's where I've stayed during a "mixed" trip fishing and vacation...I fished the west end with a guide ... it's not going to be easy to find spots near lucaya in your time window before your wife gets up...when asking about spots to go wading...keep in mind that in the islands we represent full employment...it's been my experience that a wading request or info without guide assistance usually gets a blank response
