I would be inclined to wrap a saddle hackle or two around the body woolly bugger style and then trim it close the body to give it a fuzzy look. But either way it's a cool pattern. What kind of feather did you use for the claws?

Hey Short,
The claws are zonker strips; I wanted something that would stand up to some wear and tear... I was thinking the same thing on a hackle; then started thinking Crystal Hackle...The other thing I want to add is some rubber legs, for a little more motion...I will post phase 2 as soon as I tye some up...
