Winter....you may leave now.

You may leave now...

The world has slept long enough

Please bring on the browns of Spring

Not far behind are the greens of Summer

The rebirth awaits...

The smells of summer call you..........

The first light waits for no one.

the sunshine coaxed me out in the snow

Down low and slow was the ticket in this deep wintering hole. *8* caught in hole.
The snow is being stubborn in the shaded areas here and not wanting to leave.
Couple steps today were sinkers up to my waist.
Still was fun

Re: Winter....you may leave now.

I know the feeling!! Here in the mountains of Wyoming it is raining today. That helps melt the snow here in town. However up in the high country it is falling as snow. We will get preseason fishing for a bit in April. You will be well into your green season before our runoff stops. Enjoyed your pics. Hope your snow goes fast.

Re: Winter....you may leave now.

This is the first winter in our area that I had to stop shoveling and pack down with snow shoes....many buildings have collapsed roofs.

We still have 6 packed feet of snow and although our rivers are open, the ice shelfs are out of this world...My fishing bud posing is over 6ft tall...Taken just over a week ago.

Our waters are open, rivers anyway, but temps are cold and some of the holes in this river go to 35ft and the fish are just hunkered down...

I figure by late April the rainbows will be running into the tribs to spawn....I hope
