Fly Fishing Novice
Hi Everyone, I am wanting to start fly fishing but i know nothing about it. I have fished all my life and tried about every kind of fishing there is except fly fishing. So if anyone has any advice or information to pass on especially on what type of equipment to start with mainly for trout fishing it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'd recommend checking out your local fly shops, tell them you want to learn to fly fish and see if they offer a combo package and casting lessons. Some shops even offer introductory fly fishing lessons. UTube has some good fly casting videos for starters, but nothing is better than having someone there to give you pointers. You local fly shop will also let you try out a number of rods so you can get the feel for how they cast. Good luck and happy fishing! Larry |
