Re: Hey Now! Greetings from Vermont
the guy who put the book together is apparently an accomplished photographer.
the guide/ book has amazing full color photos of the insects, then several examples of the tied versions in the stages that you'd want to fish them. then, it gives info. on the time of year, the behavior of each insect, and where, and how to fish each pattern. i've started using flies that i would normally overlook, and i've been catching more fish. also, i've been noticing that the tied patterns sometimes look absolutely nothing like the actual insect. lastly, for anyone interested, just remember that as the title suggests, it's primarily relevant to the Northeast. i have a feeling that guides or books like this exist for other habitats as well |

Re: Hey Now! Greetings from Vermont
Nice river the Mag....Best in the spring and fall for LLS and trout
Also your only a short distance from Upper Dam, where the Gray Ghost and many other famous steamers were created.....Beautiful place steeped in FF history to wet a line. |
