Hi

I've lurked on this forum for quite awhile. That's not my style as I can be quite the chatter box at times.

Anyway, here I am. I'm retired now and spend all my time fly fishing. Since I live alone and have even lost my dog last summer. I have nobody to answer to, and fishing everyday is my life now

My favorite kind of fishing is small streams with dry flies.

Good to be here. It seems like a friendly forum with good advice from all.

Re: Hi

Hi Oldman,

Welcome to the forum. Sorry for the loss of your dog. Only pet lovers can understand the emotion of losing our little friends.

If it was not for my wife I would be in Alaska right now catching Salmon. Fishing, especially Fly Fishing, can be a full time obsession.

I am glad that you have decided to come forward and join in with the other good people on the forum. What area are you fishing?

Re: Hi

Hi Oldman,

You have some good waters in Colorado. I haven't fished Colorado very much but did OK when I took the time to fish there. I usually fished New Mexico and then went to Wyoming.

Frank

Re: Hi

Hi Oldman

Welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear about your loss, I also lost my dog last summer to cancer. I'm envious hearing that you get to fish full time, I'm still one of the working slobs! What part of CO are you from?
I'm in Laramie, so I fish CO a lot. Mostly go over to the Walden area and fish the lakes and the North Platte and then a couple times a year we go over to the in-laws in Carbondale and fish the Roaring Fork. Going to hit the Poudre once run off quites.

Larry

Re: Hi

Welcome to the forum Old Man. I'm west of Colorado Springs. If you're in the neighborhood, let's do some fishing sometime. Deckers, 11 mile canyon, Dream Stream, Cheesman Canyon are all fairly close and the fishing is great.
