Exclamation Hi all !

Hello all, i've been reading the forums for about a month or two now, and thought it was about time i joined !! I'm currently serving in the Canadian Navy. I'm in school aswell in St. John's, Newfoundland. I've yet to hook into a hugh brown which are thriving in these waters but their days are numbered ! I am also getting my first chance this weekend at the Exploits river in Grandfalls Windsor area "which is said to be the best Atlantic Salmon river in north america with over 20,000 returning large salmon" !! I can't wait to test out my new Sage VT2 8wt 9`rod and Cabela's SLA reel (read the reviews a week too late) lets just hope the drag holds up !!

What else can i say about myself, i've been raised in the woods and on the water! I stoped flyfishing for some years after they shut down the St Mary's river In Nova Scotia(for salmon), and was a full time spin cast trouter. sad i know ! But i'm back at the fly fishing and will be dusting off the tieing bench real soon !!

Mike
