I just wanted to say hi to everyone. I'm in central VA, and just learning the waters here. I grew up in Bedford County in southern PA, where I primarily fished for smallmouth, but did plenty of trout-chasing, too. I've fished since I was a kid, and took up the fly rod maybe my freshman year of high school. The last few years have seen grad school, marriage, and kids, and fishing slipped to the back burner, but now I'm finding time (even with two kids under 3) to get back to it.

I haven't tied in a while, but used to really enjoy it and plan to start back up soon.

Welcome to the forum. I had a few years that I was busy and got away from fly fishing and hunting. It didn't last long but now I wish I had that time back. I think we have a few members from your area.

Yep, I wish I had that time back, too. It happened right when I moved, and I just felt too busy to research locations (it's sounds ridiculous, but that's how it was).

I'll have to look around for other members from around here.
