Wow, first thanks for a great site I have been sitting here just reading and trolling the wealth of info on the boards.

Little about me, I am a Land surveyor from Texas and I have been fishing for many years. I dont get to fly fish much anymore, I used to stay with my grand parents in rock springs wyoming alot and loved it.

Besides fishing I love to build cars and hit the drag strip every chance I get.

Welcome to the forum. With your job you should know some good spots in Texas. Some of those farm ponds are great for big fish.

Yeah Frank there are some nice ones around here. I used to work for a ranch that had 7 nice tanks on it one we called lake sloan is about 90 acres. Biggest bass I saw come out of there was about 6 lbs but I have heard of big lunkers in it. Some real nice pan size perch in there though.

The only problem is getting these poor ole ranchers to let you wet a line, its not what you know but WHO you know.
