Re: Another favorite team thread......
I enjoy rooting for the Spurs since my wife is a big Mavs fan. After living in SA for a while and seeing how they support that city and vice versa, I have a hard time not rooting for the Spurs.

BigCliff,
San Antonio has earned their respect, Tony Parker and Big Tim Duncan are a worthy combo, and that Ginobli guy, grrrr!!! They have owned my Jazz for far too long though, gotta work on that.

Blazers!!!!!!!!!!
I'm originally from Portland, and will always be a Blazer fan. When Portland was an expansion team way back when, we used to go to the games, pay gen. admission ($6.00), sit behind the team and heckle them. They were soooo bad. Then came Walton, Luke and the boys- Rip City was born. Now with the youngest team in the league, first pick in the draft out for the season, we are first in our division. GO BLAZERS!!!!!!!!!!!

Blazers? Now that's a loyal fan!
Soon to be the only PNW NBA team though, with the Sonics headed to Okieland.

Re: Another favorite team thread......
Yes Cliff I have taken a lot of heat for sticking with them. In the not so distant past they were known as the JailBlazers, because of so many on the team getting into trouble with the law.
I am in total shock that the Sonic's are basicly being run out of town, Seattle won't know what they are missing untill their gone. With the Blazers recient loss to the Celtic's, and Denver's last win, they are tied for first in the division. Nod goes to the Nugget's on face to face matchups. Iverson is in my opinion the most valuable guard in the league in the recent era. What that guy does for his size is amazing. GO BLAZERS

Re: Another favorite team thread......
AI is pretty amazing. But for the blazers to be even with the nuggets is quite an achievment, given their recent history?
College gf was from Clackamas and told me that the blazers owner bought a radio station and converted it to an "urban" format, so his players would have something to listen to. You heard any of these same tales?
