I was thinking about putting together a final four style tournament bracket to determine the greatest rock song ever and having my employees vote on the match ups a few times a week just for fun. The hard part is coming up with 64 songs and seeding them.

You guys have any ideas? Just start throwing in the names of great rock songs and I will start seeding them and putting together the tourney. I will also keep you posted as to what we decide the "Greatest Rock Song of All Time" is!

Here were our rules

Rules:
1. Simply copy/paste the list of songs from the previous post above you.
2. You may vote once every 10 hours.
3. Since there are so many, you may take away 3 points each time you vote, and add 1 point to a song you like each time you vote. Simply change the number inside the parethesis. Votes may be divided as you see fit. For example you can -2 from one song, and -1 from another.
4. When a song hits 0, please delete it from the list (a kill).

Crazy that you just did that!! I will set mine up a bit differently, but that is a great way to do it if you have to do it online.

Also...that list is pretty indispensable. Also...although I agree that almost all of those songs deserve recognition, I would like to put a more modern spin on it by replacing about a third of them with more modern alt/rock/metal type songs.

I'll vote Led Zeppelin's Rock and Roll for the greatest ever. I mean, the genre is the title, and its the greatest rock band ever.

Although I like Genesis, the only song I can think of that really rocks is that "in the air tonight" song. Sorry I don't know the title. The part where the drums kick in is absolutely classic!
