Re: Kidney Stones......
Thank God no!! My Dad had one on that canoe trip into Yellowstone a couple of years before I moved here. Was not a great trip for him. Spent day two in camp but managed to pass it before the paddle out. Had the guide sweating over having to paddle out in the middle of the night. It did not look like fun to me.

I've looked at it a few times and am still amazed I was able to clear this thing!!

Re: Kidney Stones......
Styrkr, it sounds like maybe your nick is dumb, er, uh, your.........
Philthy, my grandmother has done both, and says without hesitation that the stones were more painful. My wife had them a few years back, and gawd it was awful to watch. She required no cutting type surgery, just a ultrasound machine blasting the stones to bits. They ain't lyin when they say its blasting your innerds too and that they will hurt. Her next 24 hours were no fun for either of us.

Phil, The first time I had one it hurt like hell!! The episodes since have hurt, but not so bad I couldn't handle it, but I did gladly take the shot of Torridol to numb it a little more. The past couple weeks I've felt some discomfort, had no idea I had one that far down the pipes. This is the only one that I've knowingly passed, it's about a 3/8' long by 1/4' wide.
