Lake "D" is between lake "C" and "E" LOL. Close to the Utah Boarder. Great Chironomid Lake!

So do I, but they do get blown for about a month, so stillwater is great.

Hey everyone!! Fysh...I drove a mile or a mile and a half upstream from Heise, on the north bank, just like we talked about. I don't know if the area has a name. It was very picturesque with a few channels to explore. The river is perfect for wading and I just enjoy being out there (of course I would enjoy it more if I was catching fish!) so I might go explore a little further upstream next time.

Re: The "Shout out" thread....

I don't think you have to be out on the water for hours at a time to consider it fishing day. Honestly, if I could get my line wet for an hour or two a few times a week I could call that a success!

Those day trips sure are a great escape though.

Joni....I look forward to watching you tie some up at the expo. I will be the ignorant guy asking newbie questions! I got those 2 days off from work and haven't decided if I want to go fishing one of them yet. I have never been to the expo. Is there enough activities to tie me up for 2 days?? I was thinking about enrolling in a casting class, but if I can find someone patient to fish with, I might rather do it on the river with the chance to actually catch some fish!

Joni....I feel stupid. After reading that last post it totally sounds like I am inviting myself to go fishing with you and I just embarrassed myself! I meant that in a very open sense...not you specifically!

Davo...you going to the expo??

What this forum needs is some sort of online chat box. That would be cool!

Ducker,
Did you try nymphing?

When you went upstream from Heise, did you make it to a dirt boat launch?

Re: The "Shout out" thread....

I've requested the Chatbox but for various reasons it's a no go. Too bad, it would make some things much easier.
