Hi Dorian, Sprinkler system alone is a few day job, and the sod with only a couple guys is another day. I'd be too tired to fish. lol Do you have your system all drawn out? I thought your buddy was gonna help you with the system? How much is sod per square foot in your neck of the woods? That should be a good float with your new toon, take some bigger Salmon Fly Nymphs, and fish them deep.

Re: The "Shout out" thread....
fysh
Sod over in SE Wyoming is $0.39/sq. ft plus a $75 delivery charge. My wife called for prices yesterday as I need to do some sodding around the house. Last fall I dug up the window wells around my house and installed extenders. Brought the height up a foot above grade and then had a contractor come in and dump 10 yards of dirt around the foundation to give it a better slope away from the foundation. Last couple of years as houses have sprouted up in our neighborhood I've been having issues with flooding in the basement (unfinished), so hopefully this will solve the problem. We primarily have red clay in our neighborhood so when it downpours the water mostly just runs off. Larry |

Re: The "Shout out" thread....
No Fysh, you are right, my buddy is gonna help me. I was just razzin ya!
So....floated from Warm river to Ashton bridge and before the ugly thunderstorm moved in I got half way down and had caught a 13 inch rainbow. The sky was dark, the rain and hail was falling and the wind was blowing upriver! I did have a really good time on the river, even just floating down it! One thing that is a little frustrating is that you can't always find a good spot to stop the pontoon boat and fish good water. You have to look for a combination of promising water and a place to stop and fish. Can't really fish from a pontoon boat while it is moving on the water. Unless you guys know something I don't which is very probable. When I was done there I drove all the way to Birch Creek just after Lone Pine on the way to Salmon and had a heck of a time!! I personally just think I really like fishing small creeks, even though they are small fish. If you are using light tackle there is still some fight. I like the feeling of stalking the fish and being able to read the water so intimately for good lies. Can't wait to get out this summer for some great day trips!!! Caught my first Brook Trout btw.....what a beautiful looking fish. I am surprised I haven't heard anyone else talk about how pretty the markings on Brook Trout are before! Vibrant colors! What about all you guys?? Been out lately? Had any luck? What about you Mtskibum?? You seem to get out a lot. |
