I hit the mothers day caddis hatch in full force on the madison today, sadly after long distance releasing quite a few, i walked home with my head in shame, i didnt manage to land any fish(although i did get really close to landing 1).

I am a terrible dry fly fisherman

Hi Doubletap,
I see your online, how's it going?
Have not seen you in a while so I figured you were back to work for your 3 weeks of duty.

Re: The "Shout out" thread....

Hi Ducker,
I still have not been out, and it's killin me!!!

Glad you had a good float from the Warm River to Ashton. That section has alot of fish and once warmer weather hits, the fish in that section love high riding bushy dry flies like Royal Wulffs, Humpies and Trudes.

The second weekend in June my wife will be gone to Southern Cal for a few days, maybe we could get together with Dave if he's not booked and go fishin......

Fysh

I'm in if I don't get any bookings. My off nights are Thursday and Friday for distance trips. Local trips here in Jackson I can do a day trip on Monday Tuesday or Wednesday. Just skip a little sleep just like guide days. Due to my weekend on call duty I can't make Saturday or Sunday trips. As cold as our weather has been I'm pretty sure we will still be in runoff through mid June. We still have a ton of snow up high and runoff has not really hit yet. it started a couple of times but then cooled off and stopped. We need some hot weather or we won't be fishing till July.

Re: The "Shout out" thread....

My Wife just reminded me that we now have 2 dogs and that I may not be able to do a 2 day trip, I would probably only be able to go on Saturday.

Re: The "Shout out" thread....

Kinda puts me in a pinch too. Bummer Dude!!

My wife will be home Saturday Night, and I could probably get my nephew to come check on them during the day.

I might just have to make a trip to one of our local lakes and take the dogs with me.

Skibum

Fysh and Dorian will have to answer that. Not my water. Only been up there twice in 14yrs, and that was at least 7 yrs ago.

I'm out guys, time go to work. Actually late for my patrol shift. Supervisor detail does have some privileges!!!
