Re: The "Shout out" thread....

I'll have the 3rd and 4th off this year unless I get bookings. I'd be up for fishing what ever is clear on those days. Fysh is doing the SF this Sunday and will let us know how it is. Maybe we can get the Mrs and he to come up. That would leave an empty seat in each boat that we need to fill. I can probably fill one with a buddy of mine from Alpine WY. Or find some takers here on the Forum I just fished with mcnerney and fyshstyker on the Green and it was a fun day. I would love to meet and fish with more forum members as well.

Re: The "Shout out" thread....
The 4th of July is a big deal in the Rock and Roll business, specially when you have a guitarist that can play "Star Spangle Banner" just like Hendrix. The Sunday before is the "Ride For Life" and we are the opening act for Moley Hatchet at the Gallivan Center in S.L.
Week after the 4th, I would love fishing action.

Re: The "Shout out" thread....
Speaking of spring flush they are predicting flooding on the upper Snake. Releases are at 2500 and climbing. Looks like we will have some new channels on the upper Snake this year.

Re: The "Shout out" thread....
Releases at the dam are showing 4000 cfs. River is raging. Guess the whitewater guys are happy. Reporting almost 13000cfs going into Palisades with releases of about 12000cfs.

Re: The "Shout out" thread....
Dave,
Sounds like lotsa new water for you to fish come September. lol The S/F was crankin also @ about 13,000cfs below Byington yesterday, and I have to say I was a just a little intimidated when we pulled into the launch, but I figured the guy we were with is an expert rower with plenty of whitewater experience, so what the heck....'Yahooo!!!!' He even said a couple places were a little spooky. We chucked streamers into the banks and pockets all day, and as usual the wife kicked my butt!, and this was her first time doin it too, I'm just gonna call it beginners luck. ![]() The Brown below is her first ever on a Streamer and he about yanked the rod out of her hand, he just smashed it. ![]() If your going there tomorrow, be very cautious, and stay in close to the main channel, alot of snags and channels are closed off in some places, and it looks like the the 'South Channel' @ Twin Bridges may be closed forever if they don't decide to dynamite it. Also below is a pic of something you don't want to see sneaking up behind your boat, that Cottonwood tree is probably 75' long. We had just rowed back into the main channel when we noticed the water had muddied up and had debris floating all over, we're guessing a bank upstream had collapsed. ![]() ![]() George(our friend)floats this section several times a year and he said the lower river has changed alot, I think I want to float it a few more times with him before I attempt it on my own, It's a whole nother monster than the upper section and the Canyon.

Re: The "Shout out" thread....
Thanks for the report my friend. I think we will wait for that section to settle down. I've floated the upper Snake with a few of those cotton woods a time or two. Don't want to be near one when they stick bottom and start to spin. They can take out a boat in nothin flat.
Congrats to the Mrs. on the Browny!!!! ![]() I'm trying to work out some fishing for this week. Boss is visiting is lady down your way so he is out. Have to call my bud down in Alpine. You have a great week!!

Fysh
Thanks for the S/F river report! Don't think I will be tackling that anytime soon. Looking at the cottonwood floating behind your boat must have been an eye opener for sure! Larry |
