On a good note, we got a few more things wrapped up around here, like getting beds planted, and the garden trenched(I can taste them maters already).
Had a fire tonight and roasted some weenies for dinner, with smores for dessert, and enjoying a little 'Beam on the rocks' at the moment, gonna watch a movie in a few, and stay up late.
Cool!! I got caught up on the yard myself. Have to say I would have rather put it off and been fishing. But works out for the best. I got a friend moving up from Alabama in about a month who will be staying with me at first. Have to move a bunch of crap around. Got started on that.

I put a dent in my Glenfidich bottle last night myself. Bring me some of them maters. Can't make a decent sandwich with out em.

Re: The "Shout out" thread....

Hey guys....just wanted to give you an update on my Fly Fishing adventures.

Floated Warm River to Ashton the other day and caught one small rainbow. The float was fun though because the river is still running a bit high. The water is starting to clear up and I bet Henry's Fork starts fishing well in a couple of weeks. I was looking for golden stone activity in that area, but didn't see much. A lot of Caddis though.

After that I drove to Warm River and saw fish rising all over the place. The mosquitos were out in full force and I couldn't get myself to stay out there very long. It was getting dark anyway. I couldn't tell what they were rising to, so I guess it was the 'squitos.

Today I floated Twin Bridges to Lorenzo on the SF. I caught my first Brown Trout. A 17 incher on my 4 wt. It was a hoot. No other bites though. The river has some very fishy water in that section. I had never seen it before. I also didn't think the river was as dangerous or fast as I had been led to believe. Can't wait to fish it in August/September!

On a side note.....my 4 year old had his birthday on Thursday and he wanted a rod and reel, so this afternoon we took his new Spongebob Squarepants rod and reel to a stocked pond near here and he caught his first fish! An 8 inch Rainbow. He was pretty excited and we had some great father son time. Dad's live for moments like that.

Fysh....the canyon between the falls is not very deep, but is fast in places. Wading is a bit dangerous in spots unless you really have your river legs, or are smart enough to stay out of trouble.

Hope everybody is doing well and able to get your lines wet soon!

Fysh and Davo

I took the boat up to Grey Reef Saturday, did ok caught 3 fishing midges but they were all about 14-16", nothing really big. The water is coming back up, it was at 1,000 cfs (from 500) so the water was a little off color. While launching the guy that put in right after me forgot to put in his drain plugs, had to laugh as that happened to me the week before.

On Sunday, the weather got real windy with thunderstorns in the area, so I decided to stay home and get caught up around the yard, pulled out a bunch of day lillies on the south side of the house that were over crowding each other and replanted, spreading them around the house a bit. Still need to mow the back yard!

Keep me in mind for a fall fishing trip!

I'm getting the same database error when I click new posts too. Started happening yesterday. This is the first post I've tried since seeing the error, so let's see if it works.

OK, this is weird. I got the database error with the last post, but it still went up. I'm sending this one from Foxfire to see what happens.

Foxfire did the same thing, yet again, the post went up. Must be a clitch in the forum DB.

I'm getting the same problem at log in and when posting or checking new posts. The site owner needs to check his database error logs or have the host do it. Usually from the Cpanel a database repair can be run to fix the problem. All depends on the host.

Re: The "Shout out" thread....

Hello mcnerney
Hay Larry I thought I'd post a reply here from the post in "what do you carry in your vest" instead of hijacking that thread, as the Poudre calms down I would love to go out for a day of fishing, we went up to the top of the canyon yesterday and then we went up the Laramie to Glendevy and decided we are not good enough to tackle the wind so we went and checked out some of the lakes by Pingree Park, all the close local lakes are packed with people.
