Frank

I store my boat in the back yard for the winter so the finish gets a bit chalky and dull looking. Soap and water just wont bring back the shine. I'm using a new restoration kit this year made by Aurora Boat Products. It is a wash, and a scrubbing agent to get rid of oxidation, and finish with a polish. They call it the Shiny Boat Kit. Here is a link to their site if anyone is interested

Boat Products for boat care, boat restore restoration, boat protection, boat maintenance, boat cleaning

I used a boat restoration kit by Meguiars in the past but the polish did not last a full season. So I'm trying this new stuff that claim to be a once a year application.

I have not made it over to check the Teton yet. But the water levels are dropping fast up here. They are lowering the Snake 500cfs a day right now and should be at average flows by Friday. The Teton is dropping as well so it should be soon!!!

Re: The "Shout out" thread....

Just wanted to let you guys know that I went over to Driggs last Sunday and checked out the Teton and it is still REALLY high. Fields are flooded and the river seems to still be at the high water mark. Mosquitos EVERYWHERE!!!! In my uneducated opinion it is still going to be 2-3 weeks to fish the Teton at least!

Dorian

Thanks for the update. You saved me a drive over the hill!! Have you been fishing anywhere? I'm hoping my home waters are beginning to clear this weekend so I can fish anyday next week. I'm limited to Fridays and Thursdays if I have to drive any distance. But here in town I can hit the river and all I lose is a little sleep. Fishin is worth losing sleep!!!

Re: The "Shout out" thread....

Hello Dorian,
How was your vacation? Sure wish you could have joined us last Friday on the S/F. Hopefully soon.

You were right on the $$ with where you thought the Salmon Flies would be last friday, and it was good to finally talk to you.

**Dorian, keep my cell # handy, and P.M. me your number, I erased all my calls before I realized your # was not in my contact list.**

Hey Dave, How's the arm feeling tonight after getting the boat all polished and spit shined today?

Re: The "Shout out" thread....

Well got the boat half done this afternoon. Won't be finishing it till Saturday though. Tomorrow I'm fishing the South Fork with the boss. Not sure which stretch. Hope to have some pics to post when I get back.

Re: The "Shout out" thread....

Gonna be on the river Saturday, probably float the lower section again, Our friend George is coming along and he likes that section the best. And I need more time rowing this section to get more familiar with it.

Man it stinks outside!!! Dang Skunk unloaded on something.

When you wax your boat, Do you off load it from the trailer or just tip it up?

Re: The "Shout out" thread....

The skunk smell just faded out of my patrol Jeep. Couple weeks ago a guy in front of me nailed one and just pasted my rig. Was not too bad if you kept moving but when you stopped it was killer.

We will more likely fish one of the upper stretches. Greg likes Huskies to the bridge so that may be where we end up. Good luck on Saturday!!!
