We want to come up and see a little more of that area also, probably in about 3 weeks.

Nobody has been on the river up here yet so no clue on the bugs that are around. Greg did the Green today and said it was wall to wall boats. Always happens when the Snake is late clearing up. Everybody heads down there. We are still muddy here due to the Buffalo Fork coming in muddy at Moran Junction. Water level is dropping 500cfs a day so once that clears we will have good fishing. I'll shout at you when it's good to go!!

I have not tried the new BBQ place yet. Overall best place to eat is a toss up between Burkes Chop House and the Yellowstone Garage. Good ribs at the Gunbarrell Steak House.

Well Greg (My Boss) and I made it out on Friday to the South Fork. It was a rough day at the start. I buried a Double Bunny streamer in my forearm about a half hour into the trip. Wind was blowing good and the fish were not active at all. Threw streamers nymphs and dries with out seeing a single fish all morning. After lunch we found a side channel that gave us hope but no luck. Had several big fish chase a streamer but no takers. At about 4:00 in the afternoon we found a hole with about 20 Cutts rolling in it. As I was pulling out my Dry Fly Rod I managed to bury a Stimulator in the joint of my thumb, which turned out to be a good bleeder when removed. Bandaged up Greg and I took turns pulling fish one at a time out of this hole for about 2 hours. We got them on top and below the surface with sunken dries. below are a few pics.

When you mentioned that your thumb bled good, it reminded me of that classic line from 'Something about Mary' when the Cop yells "We've got a bleeder!!" What a great show.

I bet that water from the dam is still 50' 52', did you check it by chance?
Down river it's warming nicely, checked it a couple times, 54' and 55'.
It's so nice to wet wade again, speaking of that, I see you did the same, and I have to say this Dave: 'You gotta get some Sun on those legs Brotha!!'

Great little riffle, upstream and opposite the falls. Our stretch of the river should be clearing soon and that will help cut the glare off my white boy legs!!
