LMAO!! Yes you do my friend, yes you do.

Hello Larry, Good to see you around.

How in the world did you get Lambster in the boat? Isn't he from back east?
And when we met earlier this Summer, we thought we had drove a long ways. LOL.

Fysh

I met Lambster through this forum. He and his friend Kelly were planning a week long trip to the Medicine Bow National Forrest to fish some of the local streams and alpine lakes and were planning on flying into Cheyenne and renting a pickup. The Medicine Bow NF starts just 30 miles west of Laramie. I mentioned I had a drift boat and would be willing to take them fishing over at North Delaney Lake and do a float on the North Platte, so we hooked up and did some fishing together. It worked out great and we had a great time fishing together! I offered to take them up to the Grey Reef later in the week but they didn't want to go up there, I think they were just having too good of a time on the upper sections of the North Platte and some of the other local streams. Besides, I think Kelly much prefers wading and stocking trout on small streams to float fishing.

Dorian must be having way too much fun with that new pontoon boat this summer, haven't seen him post in awhile!

Larry

Re: The "Shout out" thread....

Got out to North Delaney Lake this weekend and caught a couple very nice brown trout. Here is a 20 incher.
We got run off the lake again by the usual afternoon lightning storm!

Hello everyone!! How Ya'll doin? How's life? How's fishin?

Hope everyone is doing well, doing well myself, Thanks for askin'

Work is beginning to slow a bit as far as weekly maint, but Fall clean ups & aerating will begin shortly, and soon after that......snow plowing.

Been a spell since my wife and I have been on the water, but we're finally heading to the South Fork this weekend.
I Cannot wait to chuck some Streamers, as I have developed a very severe case of 'Streameritus'... thanks to 'Davo' and his "Infectious dedication" to this method.

Anyway, just wanted to check in and say "Hi"

Re: The "Shout out" thread....

I was gone all summer, down in greybull, wyoming at an internship. Did lots of fishing on the Bighorn River............ for walleyes! Caught my first walleye on a fly(and second, and third...). The bighorn river in wyoming is a muddy warm river that has catfish, walleye, and carp; it is upstream of the Bighorn resevior.

I also did lots of fishing on all of the small streams that come out of the bighorns. Some of the small streams are pretty good, others are hit or miss. Did some high mountain fishing as well. Caught my smallest fish ever, a 1.5" brook trout.

Should be back and posting over the fall/winter time again. I am still fishing, but not as much.

Looking forward to seeing you back posting. I think alot of us took time off to enjoy the fishing once the high water quit. Glad to hear you availed yourself of the fine fishing opportunities here in Wyoming. How did the internship go? Got photos to share?

I have a handful of photos, when i get some free time this week i will upload them.

I was mostly in the north center for fishing, i did get over to the clarks fork of the yellowstone, and the upper greybull river.

Davo, how was the guiding this summer? I know the season was short because of the large snowpack, but was the summer pretty busy, or about average?

The summer was really slow for guiding. It was a weird season. Town was full but not a lot of people doing much. I was actually real busy with my year round gig so it worked out okay. If I'd been busy with both mu butt would be dragging now. LOL.

Got to take a couple of trips with some forum members which was great. Fyshstyker and the Mrs. are coming up this weekend for some fishing. Be fun to float them under the Tetons for their first time.

Re: The "Shout out" thread....

Hi Fysh, Skibum and Davo,

We have missed you guys this Summer. Even Joni has been gone a bit. I noticed yesterday that we now have 4,051 members. So we have picked up a bunch of new members this Summer. We still have a lot of lurkers and I wish more of them would join in.

I didn't fish all Summer. I charged up the boats batteries several times but never made it out. We did a bunch of work on the house including painting and new lights in the kitchen. I have been out back casting every once in a while.

John has a Streamer Fly Swap going. He had so many people interested that he had to limit the number of tyers. We also have a couple of new members from Norway with some really interesting flies and techniques. Both are good guys to boot.

Frank

Hi Frank
Sorry to hear you have not been wetting a line all summer. Good to get the old homestead in order though. I've popped in here every now and then over the last couple of months. Just not alot of time for posting.
