Joni, do you have a link for the place you get your indicators from?

Here:

The Flydesk: Slip Strike Indicators

Best time to get a hold of Dennis Brakke is Saturdays and Monday evening. He is having a battle with his health right now so keep trying.
If you just can't get a hold of him contact me and I can get them for you.

Re: The "Shout out" thread....

I haven't used the type you are talking about, but they look good, I might try them myself.

Don't let the looks fool you, they work the same as a BIG DRY FLY or those YARN THINGs, except these can adapt to todays needs ;-)

Re: The "Shout out" thread....

I am very familiar with Rowley and Chan...anybody interested in Chironomids should know who they are and read their works. Those two really know what they are talking about.
Back when I first learned of these indicators, I found Rowley's site, and tried some like his. Unless he has added to them, his were round, the Fly Desk are egg shaped. Might not make a difference. Not sure of what sizes Phil carries either.

Isn't it great....you do have that choice.
On waters I know are at the most 10' deep, I like the "POP TOPS". Specially if fishing from a shore line. I like the little stick on top. If it stands straight up, I know I am suspended, if it lays to one side, I know I am on the bottom, and I can watch the drift better.
But in Spring, certain times of the summer and Fall, I like the Dry Dropper, because there are allot of fish at the surface area.

Re: The "Shout out" thread....

Joni, Thanks for posting the link to the Flydesk. I went over there and bought a couple of the slip strike indicators. They will come in real handy next summer fishing on the Delaney Buttes.
