Trigger Flies

Has anyone tried what they call trigger flies? I got some patterns out of a magazine they all are really big flies with normally two hooks. I was just wondering if anyone had any luck with them? Whats the biggest fish you caught with one? And what presentation did you use to cacth it.

Re: Trigger Flies

I guess you could call it a Trigger fly. In other words, I always fish two flies on Stillwater, doing a "Y" connection, (just like our own Davy Wotton)
I attach a LARGE fly with a lot of movement to the shorter tag, and a nymph to the longer so it appears that a bait fish is chasing food. Has been working for me for a LONG time, but I do believe it is attracting the fish to the nymph, cause I don't have quite the catch rate with out it.
Here is one of my double hook flies:
