Re: waders

Stocking foot. Then you can get a pair of nice boots. Steve got me a pair of Chotas or something that are incredible.

Re: waders

I'll have to agree with mike there. Bootfoot waders are more convenient, and are the outright warmest option, but come up short on fit and ankle support. make sure you buy your boots plenty big. You can always snug up the laces when the going gets rough, but tight boots will always restrict blood flow to your toes, making them colder.

Don't expect that there will be much correlation between your normal show size and the wading boots that fit you best. I normally wear a 12, and the wading boots that fit me best are labeled size 14.

Re: waders

tried on a pair at walmart in a bootfoot. noticed they didn't fit good at all. glad you mentioned the sizing of the wading boots though. i was fiquring at least one or 2 sizes bigger.

Re: waders

Depends on the boot. I wear a 10 in shoe and a 10 in wading boot. Go figure.

Re: waders

Yeah, it varies alot. my saltwater boots from that same mfg as the 14's are size 12 and fit just fine. I just wanted to make sure nobody got to the river and became SOL because of not trying the boots WITH the waders.
