Workin for a livin...

So what do you folks do for a living?

I started a landscape maintenence company a few years ago after putting in 20 makin 'Huggies', the shiftwork and rotating schedule about killed me, the wife suggested I do something that I enjoy and I havn't regretted the move into this field yet. And the Winter Vacation is nice to have also.

My wife is a Dental Hygienist, absolutely loves her job and works 4 days a week.

We work Monday to Thursday and take 3 day weekends so we can fish our fannies off.

So whattaya'll do?

I try to get brown boxes off the brown/yellow trucks and onto the white trucks. There's alot more to it, but that's the game essentially.

Re: Workin for a livin...

I started in the wood truss industry 12 years ago at the bottom. Currently I am a designer for the same company. I use to break my back all day, now I sit behind a computer drawing roof systems. That explains why I have plenty of time to spend here.

I am a part time guide, but my bigger source of MY income is from playing in a Rock and Roll band on the weekends. My Hubby is the bread winner. Works for a heavy equipment company as a wrench, but looks like he has a promotion of sorts in the future.

What kind of Rock and Roll?
Ever play in P.C or S.L.C?

International lawyer. Unfortunately, for much of my career I was in "fly-fishing remission"; when I think what might otherwise have been on my trips to Chile, New Zealand, Argentina, Siberia, Belize, etc. it makes me sick.
