New Spell Checker for all your posting needs
We were experiencing numerous issues with the last spell checker that I installed on the forums, so I was forced to remove it from the site.
However, I was able to find another spell checker that seems to be working wonderfully.
You should now have the option to check your spelling when:- Posting a new thread.
- Replying to a post.
- Using the quick reply feature.
- Using the advanced editor to post.
- Editing your post.
- Modifying your signature.
If you come across anyplace else that I have overlooked, please don't hesitate to inform me so I can get it working there as well.
This feature was very important to Steve, so I am sure that he will be very excited that I was able to get it going for him..
Features:- Learn Feature uses cookies, so it won't increase the database size
- Skips quoted text and other tags (PHP, code, etc.)
- Link buttons (Thesarus and Lookup) with links to Merriam Webster's online thesarus and dictionary links with the suggestion for misspelled words.
- Supports most recent versions of browsers. Tested on IE, Firefox, Mozilla/Netsacpe, Opera and Konqueror (Konqueror implies Safari, but please confirm Mac folks)
Enjoy! If you run into any issues please let me know as soon as possible so I can get it fixed.
