Scientific Anglers Sharkskin

The Sharkskin fly line is touted as being the latest and greatest by a lot of people. It gets its name from the micro-textured surface of the line, which supposedly reduces friction through the guides due to the fact that the line, though it actually has a much greater total surface area than a...

Sage TXL 00wt

The 00wt TXL is a great ultralight rod because it pushes the limits of quiet presentation, is able to cast 35 feet with very little effort, makes catching smaller fish such as bluegill more fun, and has enough backbone to leverage larger fish.

The 00wt TXL rod is physically lightweight. After...

Lamson Konic Reel
Lamson Konic Reel

I just purchased the Lamson Konic 2 reel. The first impression was that of the reels finish. It looks like bead blasted stainless steel although It isn't.
I decided to compar it directly against the Lamson Litespeed to determine if they maintained their quality and here is what I saw.
The finish...

William Joseph Mini II Pack

Seeing as one of these is being given away on this forum, I thought I would provide a review.

Overall, I am pretty happy with it. Prior to this pack I had a columbia vest, and then a patagonia 'brick' chest pack, (which I still use as a fanny pack to hold extra gear if I need it).
