Re: Book Review: Curtis Creek Manifesto
I wanted to add this so that it may help all the new folks that have been joining the forum recently. It is a good primer to the basics of fly fishing. I've given copies of it with a box of color pencils to my two daughters in hopes that it will spark more of an interest into fly fishing with there father. One can hope.
Once you graduate from this entertaining book I would like to suggest the following book: L. L. Bean Fly Fishing Handbook by Dave Whitlock. Hope ya'll enjoyed the review. Thanks, Terry |

Re: Book Review: Curtis Creek Manifesto
I second Terry's recommendation of a great book. The CCM does a great job of hitting all the high points needed to get started, as well as staying entertaining at the same time. I think it would also be a great one to leave out as a "coffee table book" as it will grab and hold the attention of those that have not yet delved into our beloved sport.

Re: Book Review: Curtis Creek Manifesto
Really great, well done, "git er goin" starter book. I have given it to a few people and they all have the same reaction to it(yer kiddin right)but after they have a chance to sit down and really look at it they all loved it.

It is a great book, it is what I read about 2 years ago when I was a true rookie and it helped guide me a lot. I still go through it when I havnt been fishing for a while to sharped up a bit. I also just lended it to a friend who is just getting into Fly Fishing.
