Re: Snake River Fly Fishing Floats In Jackson Hole
In the lower stretches if you go up a creek on foot or walk up the river bank past the high water mark you are no longer on public land. You are trespassing on private property. The stream bed below and between the high water marks is yours to use. Anchor the boat, get out and wade, get out for river bank lunch ...ect.

Re: Snake River Fly Fishing Floats In Jackson Hole
I fish the Snake nearly every summer, as well as the South Fork, and the Green. My favorite sections are Moose-Wilsion, and Wilson-Southpark. Dam-Pacific is fun too. The greatest thing about fishing in Jackson Hole is even when the fish won't bite, it's hard to beat the scenery.

Re: Snake River Fly Fishing Floats In Jackson Hole
If this water was in the state of Montana, the statements would be true but I believe in the state of Wyoming the Land Owner controls the all the land, including the land under the water. I believe walking or anchoring is trespassing. I certainly will verify this information before I float the river. Thanks again for the article...
