Whenever I log into the forum as my normal name gregorykicks I get the following error.

Fatal error: The requested language does not exist, reset via tools.php. in /includes/functions.php on line 1183

once I log into a computer and that problems arises I can't get back into anything on the forum again. It's been happening since, oh, november maybe? I thought it was just the forum being down for work at first and then I just kept checking back less and less and I figured the forum had been closed or something. Did I get banned or is it just an error? I'd like to get back on and be an active member. It's nearing fishing time again and your advice and help is greatly appreciated by me. Hopefully you can help me fix my problem.

p.s. I've had to use some of the computers in the labs at school to write this so I won't have access as often as I do at home. Please be patient with me.

I don't know what to tell you. There are a few of us who are having problem. (Actully it is probably everyone since there is only a few posting on this forum.) It doesn't seem like anyone really cares either. That is probably why there is so few here.

Greg,I sent you another email. I believe I found the problem. If anyone knows of anyone else experiencing the same type of problem when logging in:Fatal error: The requested language does not exist, reset via tools.php. in /includes/functions.php on line 1183Please let me know their userid and I believe I can fix it. I will try to address all the issues we have with this forum as fast as I can. PHP is not my center of expertise but I can understand most of it. The real problem I believe is the database which the forum uses my not been configured properly from the last upgrade. The resources that are out there in cyberspace are not so forthcoming with the offer of help in correcting the issues so that has been a challenge.Greg, Colorado Cajun, and the rest of the members of this forum. Please bear with Steve and myself as we work toward a solution. This forum is a wealth of information and one of the greatest resources I had when I first started out fly fishing. I want to see it work as well so that we all can share our knownledge, stories and information about fly fishing.Thanks,Terry

I sent Steve a long message with everything that needed to get done in order to fix the issue with the database shortly after I was told my assistance was no longer needed here. Two things happened almost at the same time which cased something weird to happen to parts of the database. 1: When steve changed from his original host to the current host it seems that the DNS records were never updated and for quite some time all the posts were still being posted at the original server. 2: When I figured this out and informed Steve of what he needed to do to get this corrected, he was right on it. Somehow the current host tried to merge the two databases (1 from each server / same forum ) it caused some issues that I was not able to get to before I was told by Steve that he didnt need my help any more.. It is a weird situation.. However, Terry, I hope you get it all straightened out and are able to get the forum back on track.. Mike
