Re: What Fly Fishing Organizations do you belong too?

TU in that my wife a daughters bought me a set of waders and wader boots for my birthday back in July 2006. I never heard a thing from TU after sending in all the paperwork. A few weeks ago I got a card from the local TU club (89er's) and that woke me up to the fact I never received a membership card, a copy of their magizine or even a letter of Hello. I called the local club and asked about this and they sent me to the TU web site. I logged in, asked what's the story and within a week or two I got my first magizine. Have not seen anything else from TU.

I did go to the local chapter meeting and got to meet Dave and Emily Whitlock. I've had one of his books since 1984, along with two newer ones. He autogaphed all three and gave one heck of an interesting program. I've wanted to meet the man for years. As soon as I can get back to them I plan to join the local club. They seem to be doing a great job and I believe I'll give them some support.

Re: What Fly Fishing Organizations do you belong too?

The F.F.F. which I get a lot out of and give a lot to.

T.U. which is (or is supposed to be) narrow and selective in focus (which is a good thing if done right)

The Carolina Fly Fishing Club. Promotes all facets of fly fishing 'From the mountains to the sea'

The Michigan Fly Fishing Club. Which is just a fine group of folks having fun and sharing knowledge. I sure do wish I lived closer!

The Anglers of the Ausable (when I get up there to hand Rusty my dues). No doubts whatsoever where the monies and the efforts go in this group. They really get it done!
