Re: What type of water do you enjoy most?
Small freestone creeks; what you find a lot of in the Poconos and Catskills. Shallow water, good riffles and runs; lots of pocket water. Gorgeous scenery. Always challenging to get a good dead drift with either a dry or a nymph when fishing over multiple seams and varying water speeds. Best fish for me, a native Brookie in Fall colors!

Re: What type of water do you enjoy most?
I voted for spring creeks, but I really mean "pocket water". I guess I really mean the sort of small freestone stream like you find in a mountain range. That's my favorite type of water to fish.

Re: What type of water do you enjoy most?
I mostly fish small tailwaters because they're close to home (within 20 or so miles of Cheesman Dam, Spinney, Antero, Elevenmile etc.) Been wanting to fish the the Arkansas (freestone) this year but right now I'm putting in a lot of OT at work and the flows are still high.
As for a favorite though? All of them. I never met a fish I didn't like. |
