how to rubber hackle
 
how do i make a rubber hackle like in these flies?:

cant find any step by step type deals online and these look like theyd be killer on the bluegill and bass i chase. thanks

The easy way is to buy it from this guy- Fly Tying Materials - Unique Fly Tying Materials - Fly Tying Supplies - Fly Tying Products

Or do it with something like this-
I'm just gonna have to build an apparatus like that up before too long.

is it the wiggly hackly from the link you posted? is that hackle stuff rubbery like silli legs? or is it plasticy like chenille?

That product is Montana Fly Company Rubber Bugger Hackle. It can be gotten from any fly fishing specialty shop that sells Montana Fly Company products.

Absolutely. I have like four in different colors, but haven't got around to using it. I guess a bugger is the best bet as it is long, too long for a nymph.

thanks guys, ill check with my shops see if they have any. those things look like theyd be irresistible to bluegill and crappie
