Working on a bunch of 14 and 16 soft hackles. They're incredible in the Snowy Range, right Larry?

Hi fyshstykr,

I'm tying streamers, right now the Nine Three with a little sparkle added for the discriminating Trout. They work well on the Steelies when I can get through the ice.

I got my batch for the streamer swap all tied. Now I just need to give them all a haircut(Woolheads).

What is a Nine three?

I just tied up some black thread body, z lon wing midges for the first time. Size 18.

I tied up some with a trailing shuck of red nylon thread. I don't know why, I just think fish like red. Who knows if they can even see it??!!

I want to do another winter fly swap. I have a few patterns I tie well enough. There was a thread a while ago about starting another but it seems to have died. Anyone else?
